Christine Timmons
TREASURER

Christine Timmons is a San Diego native and is an educator, choreographer, performer and passionate arts advocate. She has earned a Bachelor's in Mathematics from San Diego State University, Master of Education in Cross-Cultural Teaching from National University and her Master of Education in Dance Education from the inaugural class at the University of Northern Colorado. Her performing experience includes: musical theater companies, professional dance teams, video game and film. She has been teaching public high school for over two decades where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2015 and 2022. She has written curriculum for multiple dance courses as well as piloted International Baccalaureate dance in her district.  Her travels both nationally and internationally have allowed her to examine dance in it's organic form. 

Ms. Timmons serves as the Sweetwater Union High School District Dance Council co-chair, Visual and Performing Arts department chair/PLC lead and has served on the WASC leadership team for several cycles. She is currently teacher leader for The California Arts Project and the Connected Arts Network project.
