Michelle Riggs has been teaching dance in public schools for the last 24 years; running cheer and dance programs at both the middle school and high school levels. She received her Masters Degree in Dance from Cal State Long Beach. Advocating for Arts Education in her district, she has been named Teacher of the Year four times and received the Los Angeles Music Center's BRAVO Specialist Teacher of the Year, demonstrating that THE ARTS MATTER! She also has judged for cheer and dance competitions for 18 years with Sharp International. For the last 10 years, Michelle has been a member of the Ole Skool Dance Crew, the official dance crew for the WNBA Los Angeles Sparks, performing during the summer at Staples Center (Crypto.com Arena) and has served as team captain for 5 years.
