Robin Branch-Scott

Robin Branch-Scott began her dance training in the living room, parking lot, and recreation center in her neighborhood, which led her to formally train and graduate from The Baltimore School for the Arts. She holds a BA in Visual Performing Art and Dance from The University of Maryland Baltimore County. In NYC, she trained on full scholarship at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, which led to a position in the Paul Taylor 2 Dance Company. She has performed at The MET and has been featured in two International Hugo Boss commercials, Sports Illustrated Desk Diary, and Lois Greenfield's Book, Airborne. Under the guidance of Loren Bucek, Robin was a part of NY City Center’s inaugural program for Professional Dancers Teaching in K-12 settings. She has been a guest lecturer of Dance at Loyola Marymount University, where she assisted Hinton Battle, and has a Single Subject Physical Education credential with recognition from California State University Northridge. She has been teaching dance with LAUSD for 16 years grades ETK-12 and is currently a UTK-6 grade Dance Itinerant with the Arts Education Branch. Before that, she served as the Dance Department Chair at Grand Arts in downtown Los Angeles and was a member of the school’s Instructional Leadership Team. Finally, she has also completed The Teaching Artist Training Program at The Music Center, in Los Angeles where she is a guest teaching artist and a member of the Educational Advisory Committee.
